South Czech Republic Little League is playing in its first game of the tournament. However, it has plenty of experience. This is the fourth straight year South Czech Republic Little League will represent the Europe & Africa region. South Czech Republic LL went unbeaten in the Europe & Africa Region tournament, outscoring opponents 53-8 and defeating Catalunya LL from Barcelona, Spain in the championship game to clinch its spot in Williamsport.
For the second time since 2017, West Seoul Little League has earned a spot in the LLWS. West Seoul (B) Little League finished the international tournament unbeaten with a perfect 6-0 record. That winning record continued into its first game of the LLWS. It beat Canada 7-0 and is now 8-0 in openers at the event. South Korea did it with pitching and hitting. Ji Hwan Hong hit the first home run of the event in the third inning, and Canada had just three hits against four South Korean pitchers.
This year’s LLWS in Williamsport, Pa. features 20 teams — 10 from the United States and 10 international teams.
