LG Innotek is stepping up efforts to recruit top global talent to secure future growth drivers.
LG Innotek (011070.KS) said on the 25th that it recently held an overseas recruitment event called “Inno Connect” at the InterContinental hotel in downtown Los Angeles.
Inno Connect is a global talent program that invites promising candidates from major U.S. universities to introduce LG Innotek’s technological strengths and future vision, with the aim of leading to hires. LG Innotek has held the event in the United States every year since 2024.
Senior executives leading LG Innotek’s research and development attended the event in person, including Chief Technology Officer Min Jyon and Chief Human Resources Officer Lee Dong-hoon.
More than 30 master’s and doctoral researchers and experienced professionals took part from 16 major U.S. universities, including Stanford University, the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Yale University and UCLA.
Participants’ main research fields were concentrated in areas LG Innotek is nurturing as future businesses, including physical artificial intelligence (AI) such as robotics and autonomous driving, advanced packaging and next-generation optical technology.
LG Innotek has been reorganizing its business portfolio around physical AI and its semiconductor substrate business, both high-growth and high-margin areas, to strengthen its future competitiveness.
At the event, LG Innotek researchers shared the latest technology trends and R&D developments in each field, drawing strong interest from attendees.

The event also featured an “Ask Me Anything” (AMA) session in which executives and participants freely exchanged views. Participants discussed not only the company’s technological strengths but also its programs to support professional growth and its approach to developing talent.
CTO Min said, “LG Innotek is a company that has built close cooperative relationships with global Big Tech firms, and at the center of that are people with world-class capabilities.” Min added, “We hope they will develop their capabilities at LG Innotek, which provides the environment and opportunities to grow into experts in each field, and become key talent leading the physical AI era.”
LG Innotek also runs a global internship program for foreign and Korean students at universities and graduate schools at home and abroad, aimed at strengthening its global business competitiveness. Outstanding graduates of the program may go on to permanent positions.
In addition, the company’s Vietnam unit, a major overseas production base, has signed memorandums of understanding (MOUs) with local universities such as the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, and is pursuing various recruitment-linked programs including contract-based departments, internships and career support.
