Courtesy of an ongoing sale over at Amazon US, the well-reviewed LG B6 OLED TV is now available with a substantial 30% discount for a limited time. The TV packs a 65-inch 4K 120 Hz OLED panel along with four HDMI 2.1 ports.
LG’s latest family of 4K OLED TVs: the B6, C6, and G6, have all received overwhelmingly positive reviews from critics. The entry-level B6 in particular is a respectable budget option, featuring a brighter WOLED panel with very decent color accuracy.
Right now, the 65-inch variant of the LG B6 OLED TV is available with a massive $600 discount on Amazon, bringing its price down to just under $1,400. A single glance at reliable price trackers indicates that this is indeed the best ever price for the well-reviewed TV.
According to TechRadar’s review, the LG B6’s WOLED panel is significantly brighter than its predecessor, topping out at 835 nits in a 10% window, compared to the 668 nits of its predecessor. Of course, the C6 is still leagues ahead, managing an impressive 1,438 nits in a 10% window.
Compared to its predecessor, the LG B6 OLED TV is a lot brighter and more color accurate.
Interestingly, TechRadar did reveal that the B6 features a slightly smaller color gamut (97.4%) than its predecessor (99.5%). Color accuracy, however, has witnessed a massive improvement, down to a ΔE of just 1.1 from 1.8, bringing it almost neck and neck with the much pricier C6.
Gamers will also be quite satisfied with the display’s 120 Hz peak refresh rate and impressively low response times, which is typical of OLED panels. All four HDMI ports are of the latest 2.1 standard, allowing 4K 120 Hz output on every single one of them. FreeSync and G-Sync support are also present.
The TV utilizes the webOS operating system, which may be considered a downside by many people, especially in light of recent events. The dual-channel 20 W speaker system is passable, but folks who are already spending this much on an OLED TV will certainly be better served by a dedicated sound system.
