LG Household & Health Care’s functional fermented pig placenta health functional food ‘Hanami Beacom Palace’ has exceeded 50 million cumulative sales. It has been six years since the renewal was released in 2020 in recognition of the functionality of improving fatigue.
LG Household & Health Care announced on the 26th that the “Hanami Beecom Palace” of the premium health functional food brand’s Living Garden exceeded 50 million cumulative sales based on the closing performance in July.
Hanami Vicom Palace is the first health functional food in Korea to be recognized for its functionality in improving fatigue based on pig placenta extract. After being recognized for its functionality in 2020, it was renewed and released as a current product.
The core of product competitiveness is “PlaCell,” a fermented pig placenta extract developed by LG Household & Health Care with its own technology. The company explains that pig placenta is a raw material that has been fermented and aged for 100 days and then concentrated to 2,500% level, and is the only individual recognized ingredient derived from pig placenta that has been recognized for its functionality to improve fatigue by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety.
Hanami Vicom Palace has been designed with a combination of eight vitamin B groups and four minerals, including 320mg of Dontaeban fermented extract applied with plasel. It is a product that focuses on energy metabolism and vitality management, targeting consumers who feel continuous fatigue or reduced physical strength.
LG Household & Health Care has been studying pig placenta raw materials for 20 years and expanding related product lines. Starting with the refined type, the product was diversified into liquid type and double type, and this year, the company also completed the production report for the company’s first pig placenta liquid product.
It is also working hard to secure related intellectual property rights. LG Household & Health Care has secured patents related to the functionality of plasel and fermentation placenta anti-fatigue in four countries: Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and China.
In the health functional food market, LG Household & Health Care plans to continue targeting related markets based on its long-term accumulated pig placenta research capabilities amid the continued demand for functional products aimed at specific consumer concerns such as fatigue and vitality beyond simple nutritional supplementation.

The key potential draw-up stick was applied with “Lactic Acid Fertilization Extract” (FGO), which was directly researched and developed by LG Household & Health Care and recognized as an individually recognized raw material by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety. According to the company, it is the first children’s height growth health functional food to apply FGO in Korea.
FGO has secured related patents in four countries, including Korea, the United States, Japan, and Europe, and related research results have been published in six SCI-level papers. The company explained that in the human body application test for children, it grew by 3.32cm (2.75%) after six months of intake, showing 31.6% higher growth than the control group, and the improvement effect was also confirmed in six indicators related to height growth.
