Samsung is continuing to roll out the August 2026 security update to more Galaxy devices. After making its way to several Galaxy smartphones and tablets, the update is now reaching two more budget and mid-range Galaxy phones: the Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A04e.
Galaxy A23 5G and Galaxy A04e are getting Samsung’s August 2026 update
As spotted by SammyGuru’s Mohammed Khatri, the Galaxy A23 5G is now receiving the August 2026 security update with build version A236EXXSGEZH4. The update is currently rolling out in Thailand, Malaysia, and Vietnam, and keeps the device on Android 14-based One UI 6.1.
The Galaxy A04e is also getting the August 2026 security update. It carries build version A042FXXSHEZH2 and is currently available in Thailand, Turkey, and Vietnam. Like the A23 5G, the update keeps the phone on Android 14 while bringing the latest security fixes.
Samsung’s August 2026 security update addresses 56 vulnerabilities overall. The package includes 38 fixes from Google and 18 Samsung-specific security fixes. Of Google’s fixes, eight are classified as critical, while the remaining 30 are rated high severity.
