K-pop megaband BTS closed out its North American leg of its “Arirang” world tour on Sunday with a record-setting milestone, its agency BigHit Music said Tuesday.
The group drew 1.9 million concertgoers across 31 sold-out shows at 12 stops in Canada, Mexico and the United States. The North American leg began on April 25.
“It still feels unbelievable that we have arrived at our final stop — Los Angeles — because kick-off in Tampa feels like it happened yesterday,” BTS said during its Los Angeles concert. “Time flew by because we were happy. We will cherish every moment.”

A total of 282,000 spectators packed the SoFi Stadium for four Los Angeles shows on Sept. 1, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday.
Combined with its four “BTS Permission to Dance On Stage – LA” (2021) performances, the group has drawn a cumulative 496,000 concertgoers at the venue. The attendance is the highest ever recorded for any group since the stadium opened.
The latest four Los Angeles concerts were live-streamed on fan community platform Weverse in 177 regions worldwide.

The Los Angeles Times commented that Tuesday’s performance “convincingly framed BTS as a world-class pop act” that should also be viewed as a “transitional moment for K-pop more broadly.”
BTS will head to South America. Kicking off the regional leg with 2 shows in Bogota, Colombia, on Oct. 2, the group will deliver three shows in Lima, Peru; in Santiago, Chile; Buenos Aires, Argentina; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. The tour will mark the group’s first visit to Colombia, Peru and Argentina as a full lineup.
