A recent rumor suggested that Samsung will pull the wraps off its new flagship tablets next month. Half the month has already passed, and we’re not too far away from the official unveiling, if that’s anything to go by. As we inch closer, here’s the most concrete proof yet that the Galaxy Tab S12 launch is near.
Galaxy Tab S12+ and Tab S12 Ultra accidentally confirmed!
Today, Samsung announced the stable One UI 9 rollout for Galaxy devices. In separate press releases intended for distribution in Singapore, Peru, Vietnam, Brazil, Indonesia and MENA (Middle East and North Africa), Samsung explicitly mentions the Galaxy Tab S12 series in the footnotes.

In the list of Galaxy devices that support Privacy Alerts, Samsung includes the Galaxy Tab S12+ and Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra as well. This is strong evidence that the launch could take place in the coming weeks, or on October 7, as serial tipster Evan Blass suggested.

The Galaxy Tab S12+ could bring a 12.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, Samsung could pair the tablet with MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chip and at least 12GB of RAM. A ~10,500mAh battery could power the tablet with 45W charging support. It should also support the S Pen and run Android 17-based One UI 9.0.
The Galaxy Tab S12 Ultra will sit at the top of Samsung’s tablet lineup. It could feature a massive 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display and the Dimensity 9500 processor. Samsung could offer up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage. An 11,600mAh battery, 45W charging and S Pen support should complete the package.
