Hyundai Mobis (012330.KS) said Wednesday it hosted the “5th Mobis Mobility Day” in Silicon Valley on Tuesday local time to identify global partners and expand collaboration in robotics and physical AI.
Mobis Mobility Day is an open innovation event where Hyundai Mobis invites local startups, automakers and investment industry officials to share its mid- to long-term business strategy and explore partnership and investment opportunities.
This year’s event, the fifth of its kind, was held under the theme of robotics and physical AI. Hyundai Mobis shared its investment and research and development strategy in the robotics field, while executives and staff from its North American research center took the stage to present achievements in autonomous driving, software-defined vehicles (SDV) and electrification.
In particular, alongside the full-scale operation of Hyundai Motor Group’s Metaplant, the company has reportedly continued to win orders from global clients in the North American market.
Hyundai Mobis plans to hold an additional Mobis Mobility Day in Asia in the second half of this year. The company considers building partnerships in advance with promising global firms a key task in establishing a global parts ecosystem for the robotics field.
