SK Speedmate, a unit of SK Networks (034730.KS), is rolling out vehicle maintenance support programs for firefighters and social welfare facilities to mark Korea’s Memorial and Patriots Month.

The company said Tuesday it will operate “HeroMate,” a program providing vehicle maintenance support for firefighters and bereaved families of those killed in the line of duty, alongside “Good Maintenance Sharing Project,” a program supporting maintenance of aging vehicles at welfare institutions.

HeroMate, which has been running since 2024, was designed by SK Speedmate in cooperation with the National Fire Agency to honor the dedication of firefighters. Bereaved families of firefighters killed in the line of duty receive free engine oil replacement, 50% discounts on air conditioning gas and filters, and 30% discounts on tires and brake pads and oil. Active firefighters are given comparable benefits. Bereaved families can access the service by booking through the Speedmate customer center before visiting, while active firefighters can present maintenance coupons available on the “Hero” app.

The Good Maintenance Sharing Project is a corporate social responsibility program launched in 2022 in partnership with the Seoul Council on Social Welfare to support vehicle maintenance at social welfare facilities. Through first-come, first-served pre-registration, the program offers discounts on essential consumables such as engine oil, batteries and tires for 100 vehicles each month through December. Users can obtain coupons through the customer center and then book online at one of 33 Speedmate stores in the Seoul area.

“We have diversified our maintenance support programs so that firefighters and social welfare workers who quietly devote themselves on the front lines can operate their vehicles more safely,” an SK Speedmate official said. “We will continue to leverage the company’s capabilities to carry out genuine sharing activities and create social value.”
