LG Display has confirmed that it has a slew of new OLED panels in the works. According to the company, all are destined for gaming monitors. While LG Display does not sell gaming monitors of its own, minority owner LG Electronics sells UltraGear Evo and UltraGear OLED monitors like the UltraGear Evo 45GX950B and the UltraGear OLED 39GX950B (curr. $1,799 on Amazon).
According to LG Display, the following panels will be on show this week at Computex 2026 in Taipei:
27-inch, 5K OLED with a 220 PPIVESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 compliant panel with 2,000 nits peak brightness39-inch, 5K2K WOLED with a 1500R curvature
Seemingly, the latter has already been unveiled inside the Alienware AW3926QW. LG Display mentions showcasing Black Frame Insertion (BFI), which has not been offered at panel level for years. Moreover, LG Display mentions Dynamic Frequency & Resolution (DFR) 2.0 technology.
Unfortunately, it has not elaborated further about how DFR 2.0 differs from the existing DFR technology that LG Electronics and others market as Dual Mode technology. Please see LG Display’s press release for more details.
