■ Doosan Enerbility announced on the 25th that it has signed an agreement to commence the full-scale manufacturing of Small Modular Reactors (SMRs). The signing ceremony was held at Doosan Tower in Dongdaemun-gu, Seoul, with the attendance of John Hopkins, President of NuScale Power, and Park Ji-won, Chairman of Doosan Enerbility. Under the agreement, Doosan Enerbility will begin manufacturing the main SMR products to be supplied for the project NuScale Power is pursuing in Idaho, USA, which is targeted for completion in 2029. Doosan Enerbility plans to start producing large forged materials for the SMRs in the second half of this year and will begin manufacturing the main products in the second half of next year.
■ L’Oréal Korea announced on the 25th that it held a “Sustainability Week” for employees of L’Oréal Korea and Stylenanda from April 20th to 22nd to mark Earth Day. The event featured various programs, including lectures by external speakers, employee case sharing, and team challenges. An online charity auction and an offline bazaar were also held. The proceeds will be donated to a campaign supporting artists with disabilities, run by L’Oréal Korea and the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture.
