Hyundai Motor Group (005380) held a launch ceremony for its 2026 Happy Move program, the company said Wednesday.

The ceremony was attended by group officials including Sung Kim, President of Strategy and Planning at Hyundai Motor Group, and Kim Dong-wook, Executive Vice President and Head of the Strategy and Planning Office, along with Habitat Chairwoman Ma Hee-ja, World Vision Division Head Na Yoon-chul, and about 200 university student volunteers.

Happy Move is Hyundai Motor Group’s flagship social contribution program, supporting university students in growing into future-generation leaders through overseas volunteer activities and cultural exchange experiences. Since its launch in 2008, more than 13,000 university students have participated.

This year’s program will take place in Indonesia and Vietnam from July to August. Activities will center on overseas volunteer work, cultural exchange, and tours of Hyundai Motor Group’s overseas business sites.

“I hope this will be a meaningful time to learn the value of sharing in the field and to understand different cultures,” President Sung Kim said. “Since volunteering is both an act of helping someone and a process of growing oneself, I hope you gain new perspectives and confidence through Happy Move.”

In his welcoming address, Sung Kim, President of Strategy and Planning at Hyundai Motor Group, encouraged participants, saying, “I hope this will be a meaningful time to learn the value of sharing in the field and to understand different cultures,” and “Since volunteering is both an act of helping someone and a process of growing oneself, I hope you gain new perspectives and confidence through Happy Move.”

“Happy Move is Korea’s largest university student social contribution program,” a Hyundai Motor Group official said. “We will continue to actively support the future generation in growing into global leaders.”
