LG Electronics (066570.KS) is accelerating its market push with a new premium cleaning robot that innovates in cleaning performance, hygiene management, and design.
LG Electronics announced Monday the launch of the “LG HomBot AI Objet Collection RONi.”
RONi comes in two lineups so customers can choose according to their living environment and interior preferences: an automatic water supply and drainage “Hidden Station” and a water-tank “Objet Station.”
The Hidden Station is installed in the kickboard space at the bottom of a kitchen sink cabinet. At just 15 centimeters tall, the station can be installed without separate lower cabinet construction or loss of existing storage space. Since the cleaning robot is normally not exposed to view, it suits customers who want a minimalist space. The Objet Station features a side-table design that can be naturally placed anywhere in the home. Its height, handle thickness, and water-tank pull-out height are ergonomically designed.

Both products enter and exit through an automatic opening and closing door at the front of the station during cleaning, and when not in use, the door closes so the device is not exposed. Through such design, LG Electronics has extended a built-in style spatial experience into the cleaning robot domain. RONi also received the Best Product Award at the “2025 Ergonomic Design Award” hosted by the Ergonomics Society of Korea.
Hygiene management functions have also been strengthened. LG Electronics applied a 100-degree Celsius steam function to both the body and station of RONi. During cleaning, steam is sprayed onto the mop to remove ground-in dirt from the floor, and after cleaning, steam and hot-water washing at the station removes 99.99% of four types of harmful bacteria, including Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and E. coli. After washing, warm air dries the mop, reducing odor-causing substances by up to 97%. The product also applies “Station Conditioning” technology, which discharges moisture to keep the station interior clean.
RONi is also equipped with 30W suction power and a mop that rotates 180 times per minute. When cleaning corners, the side brush extends up to about 46 millimeters to gather dust in corners toward the central suction inlet, and the dual brush reduces hair tangling.
RONi, which is also equipped with artificial intelligence (AI) features, analyzes spatial structure using LG Electronics’ self-developed AI object recognition technology and eight sensors, and distinguishes about 120 types of objects, including electrical cords, flower pots, and pet waste. It avoids obstacles and cleans contaminants according to the situation. It also distinguishes spaces such as living rooms, kitchens, and bedrooms on its own, adjusting suction power and driving methods.
On the security front, LG Electronics applied its proprietary security system “LG Shield.” It encrypts collected data and stores encryption keys separately to lower security threats. The structure in which the station door closes after cleaning also reduces concerns about camera exposure. RONi obtained the “Privacy by Design” certification from the Personal Information Protection Commission.
RONi will be sold sequentially starting next month on the 2nd at LG Electronics Best Shop, LGE.com, Coupang, and other channels. The shipping price for both the Hidden Station and Objet Station models is 2.19 million won. LG Electronics provides a welcome kit to early-purchase customers, and free after-sales service, regular visit management, and replacement of key consumables to subscription customers.
