Dio (039840.KQ), a digital implant company, is joining hands with digital transformation (DX) firm LG CNS to pursue artificial intelligence (AI) innovation in dental medical services.
The two companies signed a strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) to promote Dio’s company-wide AI adoption and AI transformation (AX), they said Tuesday.
The agreement was arranged to combine LG CNS’s AI project system integration (SI) capabilities and AX platform-building experience with Dio’s digital dentistry technology, in order to advance dental treatment and procedure services.
The two companies will cooperate in three areas: automating AI-based implant procedure design, building a cloud-based integrated platform, and securing security stability for global expansion. In particular, they plan to use AI to automate patient-customized implant procedure design and build a one-stop digital care environment that connects the entire process from consultation to diagnosis, treatment planning and prosthetics. Through this, they aim to improve the accuracy and efficiency of treatment and provide more predictable treatment outcomes.
They will also build a web-based cloud platform. The platform will integrate dental treatment workflows to enhance real-time information sharing and collaboration efficiency among medical staff and dental professionals.
The companies will also strengthen cloud infrastructure for global business expansion. They plan to build a cloud environment with stability and scalability, applying data encryption and real-time monitoring systems to provide digital dentistry services that can be used safely anywhere in the world.
“Through this collaboration, we will present innovative services using AI and cloud in the dental medical field,” Dio CEO Kim Jong-won said. “By combining the strengths of both companies, we will secure differentiated competitiveness in the global digital dentistry market.”
