President Lee Jae-myung said Wednesday that “Chungcheong has boundless growth potential,” adding that “if strategic corporate investment and the government’s firm resolve are added here, Chungcheong will stand tall not only as the center of Korea’s advanced industries but as a global hub of innovation leading the AI era.”
Lee made the remarks after hearing explanations about the Chungcheong investment plans of Samsung, SK hynix, Celltrion and others at the “National Report Session on the Chungcheong Region Advanced Industry Development Vision” held in Asan, South Chungcheong Province, that day.
Lee explained that “the four major advanced industries — semiconductors, displays, secondary batteries and bio — are core strategic industries that will determine Korea’s future in the artificial intelligence era, and Chungcheong is precisely the region where these four advanced industries form a single ecosystem.”
