Employment and Labor Minister Kim Yeong-hoon and Hyundai Motor Group President Sung Kim attended the launch ceremony of a youth talent development program and encouraged the participants’ new start. The government and the company plan to work to enhance young people’s job capabilities and further expand their entry into the labor market.<\/p>\n
Hyundai Motor Group said on the 27th that it held the “HINT First Cohort Joint Opening Ceremony,” a youth job capability enhancement education program, at its Human Resources Development Institute campus in Gyeongju, North Gyeongsang Province, on the 27th. HINT is one of the “K-New Deal Academy” youth vocational training projects, offering opportunities to experience future mobility industry sites and technology. The curriculum is divided into education in core future mobility fields\u2014such as “Embedded AI,” which strengthens future mobility development capabilities, and “Manufacturing Intelligence,” which teaches digital transformation and smart technologies at manufacturing sites\u2014and employment support programs. Tours of production plants including smart factories and special lectures by current employees will also be conducted.<\/p>\n
The 500 trainees gathered from seven regions across the country will undergo a three-day, two-night residential training following the opening ceremony. During the training period, they will refine their personal growth goals while forming networks with peers. Hyundai Motor Group plans to conduct more than 90% of future training courses in non-capital regions such as Daejeon, Daegu, Gwangju, and Busan, contributing to the stable growth of regional talent. The group will run the HINT first cohort course over the next three months and recruit second cohort participants in September, with a total of 1,000 young people to receive training.<\/p>\n
Prior to the opening ceremony, Minister Kim had lunch with the trainees and listened to the difficulties they face during their job search. “Just like the slogan ‘Companies help youth grow (KNDA),’ I hope our young people will leap higher through the Hyundai Motor Group academy,” Kim said. “We will further expand the K-New Deal Academy so that more companies participate and more young people can have opportunities.”<\/p>\n
