Russia likely used a North
\nKorean<\/a> ballistic missile in its deadly July 30 strike on Kryvyi Rih,
\nReuters reported<\/a>,
\nciting sources.\u00a0<\/p>\n

If confirmed, it would be the first time Moscow used NK missiles
\nin nearly a year.<\/p>\n

\u201cRussia has launched North Korean missiles at Ukrainian
\ntargets before, but their deployment after a lengthy gap points to \u200ba fresh stock of weapons that
\nMoscow can draw on as it intensifies missile attacks, the sources added,\u201d the
\nreport said.<\/p>\n

The unnamed source said Ukraine last officially confirmed
\nRussia\u2019s use of a North Korean missile on Aug. 8, 2025.<\/p>\n

Reuters noted that Russia began using North Korean
\nshort-range ballistic missiles, the KN-23 and KN-24, in strikes on Ukraine in
\nlate 2023. North Korea remains a close ally of Russia in the war against
\nUkraine and has provided Moscow with thousands of military personnel and
\nmillions of artillery rounds.<\/p>\n

Yurii Ihnat, a spokesman for the Ukrainian Air Force, said
\nRussia may have used a KN-23 on July 30. He said the missile had not appeared
\nin Air Force reports for some time, \u201cbut today it reappeared.\u201d<\/p>\n
