LG Electronics (066570.KS) has unveiled an experience space where visitors can check the design and cleaning functions of its new cleaning robot, the “LG HomBot AI Objet Collection RONi.”<\/p>\n

LG Electronics said on the 5th that it will operate the LG RONi pop-up experience zone on the first floor of Hyundai Department Store’s Pangyo branch through the 12th. The space is decorated with various interior concepts featuring actual living areas such as kitchens and living rooms, showing how the LG RONi blends harmoniously wherever it is placed in the home.<\/p>\n

Visitors can directly experience the “Hidden Station,” which conceals the product in the baseboard space beneath the kitchen sink, and the “Objet Station,” which can be used as a piece of furniture.<\/p>\n

The Hidden Station is designed so that the cleaning robot and charging station are not visible from the outside, enabling a tidy space arrangement. At about 15 centimeters in height, it is low enough to install without separate lower-cabinet construction or changes to existing storage space. When the LG RONi returns to the station after finishing cleaning, the door automatically closes, preventing the product’s camera from being exposed to the outside.<\/p>\n

The Objet Station has a design reminiscent of a side table, allowing it to be placed naturally in various spaces such as living rooms and bedrooms. The product height, handle thickness, and water tank position were designed with user convenience in mind, enhancing ease of operation.<\/p>\n

The experience zone also allows visitors to check the LG RONi’s powerful cleaning performance. LG Electronics applied a 100-degree Celsius steam function to both the cleaning robot body and the station for the first time in the world. In addition, it removes floor dust and various debris with 30-watt suction power, and cleanly manages remaining contaminants on the floor with a high-speed mop that rotates 180 times per minute.<\/p>\n

Starting with the Hyundai Department Store Pangyo branch, LG Electronics plans to continue the event at the Lotte Department Store Incheon branch (August 14-23) and the Shinsegae Department Store Gangnam branch (August 25-31). At the experience spaces, participatory programs allowing visitors to directly experience key functions will be held, along with an event giving away LG RONi-related merchandise to visiting customers.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, the LG RONi, launched on the 2nd of last month, is recording the highest sales performance among products LG Electronics has introduced since it launched Korea’s first cleaning robot in 2003. Compared with previous new suction-and-mop combination cleaning robots, its early sales volume reached about three times the level.<\/p>\n
