Fortunately, you can easily unlock this feature using Samsung&#8217;s official Good Lock suite on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sammobile.com\/news\/samsung-one-ui-8-5-everything-to-know\/\" data-type=\"post\" data-id=\"16615030\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">One UI 8.5<\/a> and above.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To change an app or widget label on your Galaxy phone or tablet, you will need to install two apps from the Galaxy Store: Good Lock and its Home Up module.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Here is how to set them up and edit app and widget names:\n<\/p>\n<p>            <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Samsung-One-UI-Home-App-Label-Rename-Good-Lock-Home-Up-Settings-1920x832.jpg\" width=\"800\" height=\"347\" alt=\"Samsung One UI Home App Label Rename Good Lock Home Up Settings\" class=\"\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"image-credit\" data-nosnippet=\"true\">Asif Iqbal Shaik \/ SamMobile\n                                            <\/p>\n<p class=\"image-caption\" data-nosnippet=\"true\">Procedure to enable option to rename app and widget labels on One UI home screen\n                                                                                <\/p>\n<p>Install <a href=\"https:\/\/galaxystore.samsung.com\/detail\/com.samsung.android.goodlock?cntyCd=GBR\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Good Lock<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/galaxystore.samsung.com\/detail\/com.samsung.android.app.homestar?cId=000009152309\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Home Up<\/a> from the Galaxy Store. You can also install Home Up from within Good Lock if you cannot find it on the store.<\/p>\n<p>\nOpen Good Lock from your app drawer and tap Home Up.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTurn on the main toggle at the top of the screen, then enable the Home screen toggle.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTap Home screen, then turn on the App icon setting toggle.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTap App icon setting and enable Edit item label on home screen.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nReturn to your home screen, then tap and hold the icon of the app or widget you want to rename.\n<\/p>\n<p>\nTap the pencil-shaped icon next to the name to edit the text. Re-enabling Home Up will instantly restore your custom labels.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Without using the Good Lock and Home Up apps, it isn&#8217;t possible to rename an app&#8217;s label in the app drawer in the default (One UI Home) app launcher on Galaxy phones or tablets.
