The total project cost is about 15.3 billion won, and the service will be provided from July this year to March next year.

This project is a national AI research support project that supports GPU resources so that research entities that are difficult to have large-scale computing infrastructure on their own, such as universities and government-funded research institutes, can conduct ultra-large AI models and large-scale language model (LLM) research. In domestic research sites, the gap between actual available resources and the level of global infrastructure has been pointed out as a challenge due to competition to secure the latest GPUs.

The bid reviewed the GPU supply plan, the size of resources it has, the level of research environment, the operation support system, and security capabilities as key evaluation items. The company explained that multiple operators were finally selected amid competition involving global and large cloud companies, and Samsung SDS was selected as the first among them.

Samsung SDS launched its service on the 20th of last month. It offers not only Nvidia H100 (hopper) GPU, but also the latest B300 (Blackwell Ultra)-based GPU cluster. The B300 is the latest architecture-based GPU that exceeds the hopper-grade and higher specifications required by the Request for Proposal (RFP), providing improved performance and large memory over previous generations in learning and inference of large-scale parameter models, the company said.

Samsung SDS provides large-scale clustering that combines multiple GPUs into a single resource pool and a high-speed interconnect network that connects them quickly to respond to long-term large-scale tasks to short-term experimental tasks. In addition to GPUs, CPU, memory, storage, network, and development environment are configured and provided in advance.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" src="https://www.europesays.com/korea/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/news-p.v1.20260811.a1a5425d23ff4de787f1212829518b9f_P1.jpg" orgwidth="700" orgheight="1050" alt="Samsung SDS is speeding up the supply of computing resources in line with the rapidly increasing demand for AI infrastructure in the field. The photo shows the Samsung SDS Tower located in Jamsil, Seoul.

Meanwhile, Samsung SDS launched B300-based GPUaaS (GPU as a Service) for the first time in Korea through its cloud, Samsung Cloud Platform (SCP) in March, and last month, it introduced NPUaaS (NPU as a Service) using Puriosa AI’s second-generation product “RNGD”, which is a domestic NPU specialized in AI reasoning.

“We will provide stable services so that domestic researchers can achieve results based on the world’s best AI infrastructure,” said Lee Ho-joon, head of Samsung SDS’ cloud service business. “We will contribute to expanding the base of the national AI research infrastructure.”

Ellis Group was also listed as a multiple operator. It is an AI full-stack company that provides AI infrastructure, cloud, and industry-specific solutions, and has presented an integrated promotion system that encompasses providing high-performance computing resources, supporting AI learning and development environments, and supporting operations and technologies with its experience in carrying out similar projects such as large-scale national GPU rental projects.

In particular, Ellis Group introduced the so-called End-to-End AI Cloud, which has been built with its own technology from modular AI data center (AI PMDC) to cloud infrastructure virtualization (ECI), AI development environment (Runbox, Runbox), data management (DataHub), and model distribution (ML API). It allows researchers to immediately use high-performance GPU resources without infrastructure configuration or compatibility problems. The company will also supply GPUs from July to March next year, supporting cluster configurations that group multiple GPUs into high-speed networks.

“This is the result of recognizing the experience of operating large-scale AI infrastructure and technology that encompasses hardware and software platforms,” said Kim Jae-won, CEO of Ellis Group. “We will provide stable services so that researchers can focus on research and model development without spending time building infrastructure.”

Providing high-performance resources such as B300 for university/funded researchers 사진 확대 Samsung SDS and ELRIS Group have been…

[17
1137,16154,59376,59375,27461,127,223
post-115160","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-samsung","tag-ai","tag-cloud","tag-cluster","tag-elris-group","tag-network","tag-samsung","tag-samsung-group
["GET
