The Samsung Electronics (005930.KS) union, for one, has argued that the company&#8217;s semiconductor cluster investment in the Honam region is a matter that could affect working conditions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">At a Cabinet meeting held at the Government Complex Sejong that day, Lee said there had been requests to define the criteria for clear-cut cases related to the revised Yellow Envelope Law. &#8220;There is some merit to these arguments, so review them actively,&#8221; the president said. The remarks amounted to a public rebuke after the labor ministry had leaned toward strengthening interpretive guidelines that carry no legal binding force, and a call for a more assertive response. In response to the directive, the ministry decided to consider establishing a new decree, focused on specifying the scope of labor disputes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Lee also urged that the government actively accept public objections to the recently disputed tax overhaul.
