KPop Demon Hunters<\/a> performer Ejae<\/a> has claimed the sight of Leonardo DiCaprio<\/a> was enough to cause her to make a mistake during the band\u2019s performance<\/a> of Golden at the Baftas<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Back in February, Ejae took to the stage at this year\u2019s Baftas ceremony alongside fellow performers Audrey Nuna and Rei Ami, but has admitted she wasn\u2019t entirely happy with how things went.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Baftas haunt me,\u201d the singer \u2013 who provides the singing voice of Rumi in the Netflix phenomenon<\/a> \u2013 told The Times<\/a> in a new interview. \u201cI made mistakes. I cracked a little bit on the high notes.\u201d<\/p>\n

During the trio\u2019s first performance outside of the US, Ejae kicked things off from the stage at the London Festival Hall solo, before Audrey and Rei emerged from the crowd.<\/p>\n

The Oscar winner<\/a> noted that she was \u201cput off\u201d a high note in the song when she spotted the One Battle After Another<\/a> star sitting in the audience in front of her, particularly as \u201che was not smiling\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe made me so nervous,\u201d she admitted. \u201cIt was already so nerve-racking to be in front of all these celebrities, and then I look up and lock eyes with Leonardo DiCaprio? Come on\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n

Leonardo had gone viral earlier in awards season<\/a> when, at the Golden Globes<\/a>, he animatedly spoke to his co-star, Teyana Taylor<\/a>, about the animated fantasy film.<\/p>\n

The Titanic actor also became a meme<\/a> at this year\u2019s Academy Awards after he enthusiastically waved a synchronised K-pop lightstick during the band\u2019s performance of Golden.<\/p>\n

Ejae skyrocketed to fame last year after providing vocals for the animated musical, which follows K-pop band Huntr\/x, who use secret identities to protect their fans from supernatural threats.<\/p>\n

KPop Demon Hunters became Netflix\u2019 most-watched film of all time, winning an Oscar, Golden Globe, Critics\u2019 Choice Award and Grammy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s still crazy to me,\u201d Ejae told The Times of her film\u2019s success. \u201cI was a nobody and suddenly I\u2019m a something.\u201d<\/p>\n

Controversially, the film was ruled out of a Best Animated Film nod at the Baftas because it did not have a qualifying theatrical release \u2013 but the band still appeared in one of the evening\u2019s feel good moments.<\/p>\n

\u201cPerforming at the EE Bafta Film Awards is a golden moment that our younger selves could never have imagined,\u201d the trio said in a statement when their performance was first announced. <\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re so proud to represent Netflix\u2019s KPop Demon Hunters and spread the film\u2019s positive message to fans around the globe,\u201d the statement added.<\/p>\n
