The support was designed to help firefighters injured at disaster sites receive prompt treatment and specialized rehabilitation.

The donated items include two Hyundai ST1-based ambulances, three rehabilitation robots including the medical wearable robot X-ble MEX, one cardiopulmonary rehabilitation exercise testing device, one hyperbaric oxygen therapy device and two mental health treatment devices.

사진 확대 Hyundai ST1-based ambulance [Photo courtesy of Hyundai Motor Group]

The ST1-based ambulance is designed with a spacious emergency treatment area and room for medical equipment. It also features a walk-through structure that allows movement between the driver’s seat and the patient compartment, along with a high interior ceiling and a low step height to improve convenience for patient transport and treatment in emergencies.

X-ble MEX is a medical wearable robot developed in-house by Hyundai Motor Group Robotics LAB. It assists the walking of patients with lower-body paralysis and people with disabilities, supporting rehabilitation therapy and gait training. The robot can perform five movements: walking, standing, sitting, climbing stairs, and turning left or right. National Fire Hospital plans to operate a separate robot rehabilitation room centered on the device.

Hyundai Motor Group also donated a hyperbaric oxygen therapy device for burn treatment, which is frequently needed during firefighting, as well as mental health treatment devices to support psychological recovery.

<img decoding="async" loading="lazy" src="https://www.europesays.com/korea/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/news-p.v1.20260812.e232124f02f24e718b5ea0d5ae0816e3_P1.jpg" orgwidth="600" orgheight="446" alt="(From left) Hyundai Motor Group President in charge of strategic planning Sung Y. Since 2023, it has donated 10 recovery support vehicles to fire headquarters across the country. Last year, it delivered 250 EV Drill Lance units, equipment for penetrating electric vehicle fires, to the National Fire Agency (NFA). This year, it also donated four unmanned firefighting robots.

Sung Y. Kim, president in charge of strategic planning at Hyundai Motor Group, said, “We hope the vehicles and rehabilitation equipment reflecting Hyundai Motor Group’s technology will help injured firefighters recover and receive treatment.” He added, “We will continue to spare no support so that firefighters can carry out their duties in a safer environment.”

This article has been translated by GripLabs Mingo AI.

사진 확대 Medical wearable robot, X-ble MEX [Photo courtesy of Hyundai Motor Group] Hyundai Motor Group is continuing…

[21
60576,295,702,293,59914,60575,60577,60574,60573,5641
post-117468","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-hyundai-motor","tag-firefighter","tag-hyundai","tag-hyundai-motor","tag-hyundai-motor-group","tag-national-fire-hospital","tag-oxygen-therapy-device","tag-rehabilitation","tag-rehabilitation-equipment","tag-rehabilitation-robot","tag-support
["GET
