Known for purchasing Samsung Electronics shares in the ₩45,000 range and holding them long-term to achieve returns of several hundred percent, he has now extended his reach to SK Hynix, one of South Korea’s leading semiconductor stocks.

Kim appeared on MBC’s entertainment program “Radio Star” on August 12, where he discussed personal finance and stock investing with guest comedian Lee Chang-ho, touching on recent stock market volatility.

He disclosed specific purchase details, saying, “SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics have fallen a lot. SK Hynix dropped to the ₩1.32 million level, but earlier the sidecar mechanism prevented orders from going through, so I bought right before coming in for the recording.” He added, “At the ₩1.32 million level, it’s a zone where you absolutely have to get in,” revealing an aggressive investment philosophy.

When Lee Chang-ho confided that he had successfully bought Samsung Electronics at a low point thanks to Kim’s past advice but was now losing money after buying at higher prices, Kim offered advice emphasizing the importance of sell timing: “Stocks are the art of selling.”

Kim previously made headlines by revealing his outstanding stock investment performance on his YouTube channel “Gura Gura.” He shared, “When my son Gree asked, ‘Dad, why didn’t you buy a house in Gangnam?’ I confidently showed him my stock returns and he was shocked,” disclosing that his stock returns exceeded those of real estate investment.

Kim is known to have purchased Samsung Electronics shares at ₩45,000 per share and held them long-term. Samsung Electronics closed at ₩268,000 (approximately $189) on August 13. Even by simple calculation, that represents a return of nearly six times. Some reports estimate his returns exceed 500%.

Kim candidly shared his feelings, saying, “With such good returns, I feel excited but also slightly anxious, yet I’m confident. Human greed knows no bounds.”

SK Hynix Stock Price Status

SK Hynix closed at ₩1.54 million on August 13, approximately 16% higher than the ₩1.32 million level where Kim said he bought. However, considering that SK Hynix surged to an intraday high of ₩2.99 million on June 25 this year, the current price has fallen to nearly half of its peak.

Recent concerns about the semiconductor industry outlook and external variables have triggered a sharp decline in South Korea’s stock market, with major semiconductor stocks like SK Hynix and Samsung Electronics undergoing significant corrections. Kim appears to have viewed this sharp sell-off as an opportunity to buy at bargain prices.

However, the specific timing and scale of Kim’s disclosed purchase have not been independently verified. Investment decisions based on statements made on a broadcast program should be approached with caution.

Broadcaster Kim Gura revealed that he bought SK Hynix shares at bargain prices following the recent sharp decline.…

[20
61048,61046,61047,54095,60562,276,26665,241,275
post-118106","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sk-hynix","tag-gura-gura","tag-kim-gura","tag-lee-chang-ho","tag-mbc","tag-radio-star","tag-samsung-electronics","tag-sidecar","tag-sk","tag-sk-hynix
["GET
