[X]

Securitize (SECZ), a real asset tokenization (RWA) infrastructure company known as Hanwha Group’s single largest shareholder, recorded an “earnings shock” in its first quarterly performance since its listing on the New York Stock Exchange in July this year, sending its stock price plummeting more than 28% in a day.

Securitize announced on the 13th (local time) that its second-quarter revenue this year was $14.4 million, down 5% from the same period last year, with a net loss of $21.7 million and a net loss per share of $2.37. This is far above Wall Street estimates of $20.6 million in revenue and $0.15 in net loss per share.

Adjusted EBITDA during the same period turned to a deficit from a surplus of $1.8 million a year earlier, with a loss of $5.5 million. Securitize shares closed at $5.7, down more than 28% from the previous day, due to sales below market expectations and net loss per share.

Earlier, Securitize was listed on the New York Stock Exchange through a SPAC merger with Canter Equity Partners II on July 2, becoming the first tokenized company to make its U.S. stock market debut.

On the first day of listing, the company tokenized and distributed its common stock (SECZ) directly on blockchains such as Ethereum and Solana, creating the largest case of tokenized stocks in the virtual asset industry.

In Securitize’s second-quarter earnings announcement, platform activity indicators such as tokenized operational asset (AUM) size and trading volume improved, but sales and profitability deteriorated.

The average tokenized AUM in the second quarter of this year was $4.3 billion, up 16% year-on-year, a new all-time high, and the transaction value surged 147% to $5.3 billion.

Securitize’s tokenized U.S. government bond fund market share reached 18% as of the 10th. The company plans to lead the market with tokenized government bonds and funds such as BUIDL.

On the other hand, tokenization sales fell 12% year-on-year to $7.83 million among the two pillars of sales, and asset management service sales rose only 3% to $6.6 million.

In addition, the managed assets (AUA) in the fund administration service (security fund service) sector were $24.3 billion, down about 20% from the previous year, and the number of active funds also decreased slightly to 663.

            <img decoding="async" loading="lazy" src="https://www.europesays.com/korea/wp-content/uploads/2026/08/news-p.v1.20260813.d2a57d0f5127424085b12ee19b5cc5fa_P1.png" orgwidth="700" orgheight="369" alt="Securitize's quarterly gross sales status for the first half of 2026. [Source = Securitize]

Despite deteriorating profitability, Securitize’s core infrastructure build and global institutional partnership expansion continued throughout the second quarter.

In the second quarter, Securitize expanded its issuer-led tokenization stock channel by signing a series of partnerships with ComputerShare, the world’s largest securities agency, and Continental Stock Transfer Antrust, the third-largest operator. This is an extension of the 24-hour tokenized stock trading infrastructure partnership with the New York Stock Exchange, which was previously announced at the end of the first quarter.

Immediately after the end of the second quarter, it joined hands with Canterfitz-Gerald to build an infrastructure that can proceed on-chain to IPOs and subsequent capital increase. Jump Trading and Jupiter have agreed to cooperate with the liquidity of tokenized stocks and distribution infrastructure.

On the regulatory side, the US Financial Industry Regulatory Agency (FINRA) has approved the tokenized securities custodian of Securitize Markets, a broker-dealer subsidiary, to enable atomic settlement between tokenized securities and stablecoins.

The board of directors has also been renovated. Brett Redfern, a former director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s (SEC) Market Structure and Trading Bureau, joined as president and director, and Sunil Sabharwal, a former International Monetary Fund (IMF), as an outside director.

According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) disclosure, Hanwha Group’s stake in Securitize is 9,633,291 shares (about 5.9%), Hanwha System Singapore subsidiary H FOUNDATION has 5,056,218 shares (about 3.1%), and Hanwha Investment & Securities has 1 million shares (about 0.6%).

Securitize common shares held by three Hanwha Group subsidiaries totaled 15.68 million 9,509 shares, or 9.6% of all issued shares, which is the single largest shareholder based on individual shareholders.

Total stake of 3 Hanwha affiliates in 9.6%Listed assets in July Stock Exchange 2Q Sales fell 5% and…

[30
534,20094,355,354,9077,35379,61524,61522,29171,59956,4694,4382,49094,61523,11769
post-118868","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-hanwha","tag-blockchain","tag-foundation","tag-hanwha","tag-hanwha-group","tag-hanwha-investment-securities","tag-largest-shareholder","tag-loss-per-share","tag-net-loss-per-share","tag-new-york-stock-exchange","tag-operating-assets","tag-partnership","tag-record","tag-securitize","tag-secz","tag-token-securities
["GET
