\n Samsung Electronics America and Care New England today announced the newly expanded Labor and Delivery Center at Women & Infants Hospital in Providence, R. I., with a comprehensive display ecosystem that enhances patient experiences, streamlines clinical workflows and delivers real-time information to care teams. The approximately 3,500 Samsung displays integrated throughout the facility create a more connected, efficient and welcoming environment for patients, families and clinicians.<\/p>\n

\n The new Labor and Delivery Center was designed to support one of healthcare\u2019s most dynamic care environments, where patient conditions can change rapidly and seamless communication is critical. Rather than deploying standalone displays, Care New England selected Samsung to implement an integrated network of displays spanning patient rooms, public spaces, staff collaboration areas, education centers and command environments\u2014bringing together digital signage, healthcare TVs, Interactive Displays and centralized content management into one connected platform.<\/p>\n

From the moment patients and visitors enter the Labor and Delivery Center, Samsung displays create an environment designed to inspire confidence, comfort and community. The All-in-One IAC 130\u2033 2K welcomes guests in the main lobby, while a custom 15.7-foot-by-4.7-foot LED The Wall All-in-One installation recognizes philanthropic donors and reinforces the hospital\u2019s connection to the local community.<\/p>\n

\n Approximately 200 HCU7030 Healthcare TVs are installed in the Labor & Delivery Center: in patient rooms, team rooms, and clinical and training spaces. This allows clinicians to access integrated clinical information at the point of care while enabling patients to personalize their environment with family photos and entertainment. Patients and their families can also connect personal gaming consoles and streaming devices, creating a more familiar, home-like atmosphere during extended stays.<\/p>\n
Connected displays improve clinical visibility and care coordination
Throughout the hospital, Samsung displays support real-time collaboration among physicians, nurses, anesthesiologists and administrative teams. Nearly 3,000 Borderless 100Hz Business Monitors power everyday clinical workflows, while large-format 4K UHD clinical displays provide live patient status updates, waiting room communications and shared operational dashboards.<\/p>\n

\n Integrated with the hospital\u2019s electronic health record platform, the display ecosystem automatically updates patient information as care progresses, eliminating manual whiteboard updates and improving situational awareness across care teams.<\/p>\n
Samsung Flip Pro Interactive Displays also support hybrid education, simulation training and clinical debriefs, allowing staff to collaborate both in person and remotely following high-acuity cases.<\/p>\n

\n Centralized content management simplifies hospital communications
Behind the scenes, 85-inch Samsung QMC displays powered by Samsung\u2019s cloud-based signage management platform enable Care New England to centrally manage and distribute content across the facility. Staff can quickly publish educational programming, operational updates, branded messaging and patient communications without requiring dedicated hardware for each display, ensuring consistent messaging reaches patients, families and caregivers in real time.<\/p>\n
\n The system also extends into the hospital\u2019s auditoriums and emergency command center, where synchronized 98-inch Crystal UHD displays support staff education, community classes and disaster response operations.<\/p>\n
