Samsung is gearing up for a big 2027 with the release of not three but up to five new foldable devices. Interestingly, this lineup will include another wide Galaxy Z Fold model, taking the total number of wide Galaxy Z Fold phones to two.<\/p>\n

Samsung anticipated the direction Apple\u2019s upcoming debut foldable iPhone would take and released its first wide aspect ratio Galaxy Z Fold8 in July. The move seems to have worked, as the Galaxy Z Fold8 has reportedly sold very well. This seems to have inspired Samsung to capitalize on the market\u2019s love for a wide foldable and prepare not one but two wide Galaxy Z Fold smartphones for 2027.<\/p>\n

The report comes to us courtesy of ETNews (via Ice Universe on X<\/a>). The report claims that Samsung is preparing five new foldable Galaxy Z models for 2027. This alleged list includes:<\/p>\n

The wide Galaxy Z Fold9A separate wide-screen Galaxy Z Fold9 modelThe Galaxy Z Fold9 Ultra with a tall screenThe Galaxy Z TriFold2, a successor to 2025\u2019s Galaxy Z TriFoldThe Galaxy Z Flip9<\/p>\n

Interestingly, Samsung seems to have found confidence in the Galaxy Z TriFold<\/a> after a limited launch that saw the phone discontinued after three months. We can assume that Samsung will iron out the kinks of the first-gen Galaxy Z TriFold and make the Galaxy Z TriFold2<\/a> more portable and, hopefully, a bit cheaper.<\/p>\n

For the second wide Galaxy Z Fold model, it is reasonable to expect that Samsung could look at making a cheaper version. The current Galaxy Z Fold8 starts at a pretty high $1,899.99. So, Samsung could offer the wide fold in two different flavors that might come at different price points.<\/p>\n
