Instead, AI is accelerating the trend of the diminishing career ladder for young people.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>The BOK also noted that the employment outcome depended not on AI adoption itself but on whether businesses choose to replace or assist human work.<\/p>\n<p>This distinction \u2014 automation versus augmentation \u2014 has emerged as the key mechanistic insight in the economics of AI and labor.
