[Blue House]      <\/p>\n<p refid=\"2\">President Lee Jae Myung has appointed Choi Gil-soo, a lawyer at the law firm AP, as a special inspector to monitor corruption of the president&#8217;s relatives and close aides.<\/p>\n<p refid=\"3\">Cheong Wa Dae spokesman Kang Yoo-jung held a briefing on the 24th and announced that President Lee nominated Choi Gil-soo as a final candidate for special inspector among lawyers Choi Gil-soo, Kang Ji-sik, and Choi Yong-hoon.<\/p>\n<p refid=\"4\">Earlier on the 20th, the National Assembly addressed the agenda of recommending a candidate for a special inspector at a plenary session. As a result, out of 257 lawmakers present, 237 voted in favor, 17 against, and 3 abstentions. In addition, the Democratic Party of Korea listed Choi Gil-soo, the People&#8217;s Power lawyer Kang Ji-sik, and the Korean Bar Association listed Choi Yong-hoon.<\/p>\n<p refid=\"5\">Lawyer Choi Gil-soo will be appointed as a special inspector after a confirmation hearing at the National Assembly. Choi Gil-soo, a lawyer, was born in 1966 and graduated from Seoul National University with a public law degree and entered the prosecution position as the 23rd graduate of the Judicial Research and Training Institute.
