Listen to it now:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/deadleafecho.bandcamp.com\/track\/hello-mephisto\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Hello Mephisto by LG Galleon<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For more than a decade, LG has been the guiding voice behind\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/instagram.com\/deadleafecho\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Dead Leaf Echo<\/a>, the Brooklyn art-rock collective whose reverb-drenched blend of shoegaze, dream pop, and post-punk\u00a0have\u00a0earned them comparisons to Spiritualized, Cocteau Twins, and Deftones, and drew collaborators like 4AD producer John Fryer and designer Vaughan Oliver.\u00a0He also fronts Brooklyn post-punk outfit Clone, whose Martin Bisi-recorded debut\u00a0CL. 1\u00a0trades atmosphere for agitation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHello Mephisto\u201d takes its own dramatic turn. It opens on a peal of sad, gothic bells backed by strumming acoustic guitars. Where Dead Leaf Echo bury feeling beneath cathedral layers of distortion and reverb, here LG pours that same charge into acoustic form, all without losing an ounce of edge or atmosphere.
