Compared with the conventional heat-treatment method, which used high heat to separate the magnets, the new process reduces energy use. The separated magnets also retain their properties without thermal deformation, improving recovery efficiency and recycling value.<\/p>\n<p refid=\"7\">LG Electronics is also applying vision-based artificial intelligence (AI) image analysis technology to the process of separating rare-earth permanent magnets.
