Circular sales seem to be in full swing as investors’ interest in large semiconductor stocks has shifted to industries that have been relatively marginalized.

According to the Korea Exchange on the 28th, the KOSPI rose 3.73 percent this month. During the same period, the report cards of Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix, the “two-top” in the domestic stock market, were rather negative. From the 3rd to the 27th, Samsung Electronics fell 0.95% from 262,500 won to 260,000 won, and SK Hynix also fell 0.70% from 1.718 million won to 1.76 million won.

On the other hand, in industries that have been relatively marginalized, double-digit rise stocks have attracted investors’ attention. Buying has flowed in mainly in areas where expectations for improved performance and policy momentum are combined.

Construction recorded the highest return among the KOSPI index. The construction index jumped 30.32% this month.

Among them, Kumho Engineering & Construction (77.06 percent), JYS&D (72.50 percent), GS Engineering & Construction (53.94 percent), Daewoo Engineering & Construction (49.84 percent), and Hanmi Global (42.23%) recorded remarkable strength.

After the construction industry, the machinery and equipment sector followed with 17.56%, followed by metals (16.45%), chemicals (13.40%), general services (13.08%), and telecommunications (11.92%).

Rebellion of the ‘Small and Medium-sized Stock’…Changes in Foreigners’ Supply and Demand

사진 확대 Yeouido Stock Street [Yonhap News]

Another characteristic of the domestic stock market this month is that small and medium-sized stocks were stronger than large-cap stocks led by Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix.

The KOSPI 200 index rose only 2.86 percent this month, but the KOSPI 200 excluded from the KOSPI 200 rose 11.77 percent.

The KOSPI 200 index rose to 15.33 percent. While large KOSPI stocks rose 3.11 percent, mid- and small-cap stocks rose 12.09 percent and 9.13 percent, respectively.

Unlike the previous market, when some of the top large-cap stocks raised the index, the upward warmth of the stock market has spread to small and medium-sized stocks and non-semiconductor industries this month.

In addition to the supply and demand of foreigners, funds that had been concentrated on Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix were distributed to other stocks.

Until the 27th of this month, foreigners net sold Samsung Electronics 3.46 trillion won and SK Hynix 1.3499 trillion won. Foreign funds withdrawn from the two stocks alone amounted to 4.81 trillion won.

On the other hand, Samsung SDI bought a net 480.3 billion won, and LG Energy Solution (251.4 billion won), NAVER (234.2 billion won), Doosan Efficiency (225.4 billion won), and Korea Zinc (218.4 billion won).

Foreign funds also flowed into the construction industry, which recorded the highest rate of increase this month. Foreigners bought a net 2018 billion won of GS Engineering & Construction this month, while Hyundai Engineering & Construction and Daewoo Engineering & Construction also bought 164.6 billion won and 110.8 billion won, respectively. Foreigners’ net purchases in the three stocks alone amounted to 477.2 billion won.

Stock market watchers say that the recent market is more of a “spreading market” where the number of leading industries increases rather than the exit of existing semiconductor-led stocks.

Kim Sung-geun, a researcher at Mirae Asset Securities, said, “Considering the burden of financing costs due to the expansion of AI investment, it is more advantageous to distribute investment destinations than to focus on semiconductors and big tech,” adding, “We need to expand our attention to infrastructure that is expected to benefit from data center investment and healthcare that expands the use of AI.”

Construction industry jumps 30% when semiconductors are loweredSmall and Medium stocks yield, large stocks aside Foreign supply and…

[18
2668,68615,127,276,65017
post-135053","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-samsung-electronics","tag-hynix","tag-non-semiconductors","tag-samsung","tag-samsung-electronics","tag-small-and-medium-sized-stocks
["GET
