Ladakh LG welcomes President’s nod for High Court bench in UT, calls it historic step for easier access to justice. SRINAGAR: Ladakh\u2019s Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena Friday hailed the decision to set up a bench of the High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh in the union territory.President Droupadi Murmu\u2019s has given her nod for the bench and the notification to this effect was published in the Gazette of India Extraordinary on Aug 27, 2026.\u201cThe notification within just seven days of the Union Cabinet\u2019s announcement reflects the Govt of India\u2019s commitment to addressing the long-standing aspirations of the people of Ladakh,\u201d Saxena said.The cabinet decision was taken on Aug 20.<\/p>\n
