South Korea’s SK Telecom (017670.KS) has added a feature to its A. app that automatically analyzes information in photos taken with AI glasses and smartphones, converting them into searchable records. The feature is available on all Meta AI glasses models and Android smartphones.<\/p>\n
SK Telecom unveiled the “A. log” feature on the 31st. The AI identifies the content within photos and automatically generates titles, descriptions, and tags. For example, when a user photographs a concert poster, the system extracts the event name, date, and venue to create a record, while also categorizing photos by use case such as business cards, receipts, meeting materials, whiteboards, and parking locations.<\/p>\n
Users can search for desired photos by capture time or keyword. Records belonging to the same category can also be viewed together in list form based on the auto-generated tags.<\/p>\n
AI glasses users can enable auto-sync from the A. log screen in the top-left corner of the A. app, and captured photos will be immediately converted into records. All Meta AI glasses models are supported, including the Ray-Ban Meta Gen2. Android smartphone users can apply the same functionality by taking photos directly through the in-app camera or importing images from their existing photo gallery.<\/p>\n
Privacy protection measures are also included. If sensitive information such as resident registration numbers appears in a photo, the relevant portions are automatically masked before analysis. Original images are not uploaded to servers and are stored only on the user’s device.<\/p>\n
SK Telecom plans to expand the feature by linking A. log with A. Note, its memo service, to enable integrated management of photos and text. Jang Sung-kook, head of AI service development at SK Telecom, said, “A. log extends the utility of new devices like AI glasses that can quickly capture moments into an everyday recording experience.
