With this launch, users worldwide can now use stablecoins to invest directly in more than 300 South Korean listed stocks and exchange-traded funds (ETFs), including Samsung Electronics (005930.KS), SK Hynix (000660.KS), and Hyundai Motor (005380.KS).

With this expansion, StableStock’s global equity coverage now extends from the United States and Hong Kong to South Korea, one of Asia’s major capital markets. The initial tradable universe includes South Korea’s flagship large-cap listed companies such as Samsung Electronics, SK Hynix, Hyundai Motor, Naver, and Kakao, spanning key industries including semiconductors, automobiles, internet platforms, biotech, and consumer goods.

Explaining the rationale for entering the South Korean market, the company stated: “South Korea plays a critical role in the global technology and manufacturing supply chain, particularly in semiconductors, memory, automotive, and advanced electronics.” The company added, “As global AI infrastructure investment continues to expand, South Korean companies like Samsung Electronics and SK Hynix are drawing increasing interest from investors seeking exposure to the global AI and semiconductor supply chain.”

All Korean stocks traded on StableStock are linked to actual underlying shares—not synthetic assets or simple price-tracking products. Trades are executed through licensed financial institutions, and clearing and custody are likewise processed through regulated financial infrastructure. This design underscores that stablecoin-based trading platforms can offer the same level of reliability as traditional brokerages in terms of actual share ownership and regulatory compliance.

Since officially launching its service just over a year ago, the platform has attracted more than 23,000 users, with cumulative trading volume reaching hundreds of millions of dollars. The company attributes its continued market expansion to growing demand for global equity investment via stablecoins.

Building Infrastructure Connecting Traditional Equities and Crypto-Native Strategies

StableStock is not merely expanding into a new country’s equity market—it is also building infrastructure that bridges traditional stock markets with crypto-native trading strategies.

Specifically, the company plans to open its API infrastructure, enabling traders and institutional investors to use StableStock’s real stock trading capabilities as spot positions for market-neutral strategies or funding-rate strategies that utilize equity-linked derivatives. The company also plans to launch its own proprietary equity funding-rate strategy products. The vision is to allow users to access these strategies more easily without having to manage both sides of a trade directly.

Investor Composition and Future Plans

StableStock has received investment from YZi Labs, MPCi (Matrix Partners China), Vertex Ventures, and others. These investors are venture capital firms with active investment track records in the crypto and fintech sectors, effectively betting on StableStock’s growth potential.

Going forward, StableStock plans to continue expanding its services into additional countries and equity markets, enabling stablecoin users to access a broader range of global stock markets through a single integrated platform. Following US and Hong Kong equities, the expansion into South Korea—and beyond—represents the construction of a wider bridge connecting stablecoin liquidity with real global equities and crypto-native markets.

This entry into the South Korean market exemplifies how stablecoins are evolving beyond simple payment instruments or intermediaries for crypto trading into vehicles that enhance access to traditional financial assets. Given that South Korea’s equity market is a high-interest destination for overseas investors due to global semiconductor and AI supply chain investment demand, the addition of a stablecoin-based access channel is likely to further expand related demand.

StableStock, a Singapore-based on-chain financial services firm, officially launched its Korean stock trading service on the 1st (local…

[20
702,827,657,276,303,241,275,11770,70604,70606,70605
post-138857","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","category-sk-hynix","tag-hyundai-motor","tag-kakao","tag-naver","tag-samsung-electronics","tag-singapore","tag-sk","tag-sk-hynix","tag-stablecoin","tag-stablestock","tag-vertex-ventures","tag-yzi-labs
["GET
