Garg said car sales in India are likely to grow by 5-6% in the second half of this fiscal year, on a high base. Citing Vahan registration data for August, Garg said, \u201cIn the ICE (internal combustion engine<\/a>) segment, we are number two.\u201d He said the company is scaling up capacity, especially at the Talegaon plant, which will have a total capacity of 250,000 cars per year by 2028, expanding to 300,000 units by 2030, from the current 170,000 units.
Along with the Chennai plant capacity of 824,000 vehicles, Hyundai India<\/a> will have a total capacity of 1.124 million units per year, said Garg.\u201cWe can take care of a very high double-digit growth, which we are expecting both from domestic and export markets, in the next five years with this kind of a capacity,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
