{"id":141897,"date":"2026-09-03T12:54:09","date_gmt":"2026-09-03T12:54:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/141897\/"},"modified":"2026-09-03T12:54:09","modified_gmt":"2026-09-03T12:54:09","slug":"2027-hyundai-tucson-first-pictures-details-specs-release-date-in-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/141897\/","title":{"rendered":"2027 Hyundai Tucson: first pictures, details, specs, release date in Australia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a id=\"xrt\"\/>Is the Hyundai Tucson XRT coming to Australia?<\/p>\n<p>An off-road-oriented 2027 Hyundai Tucson XRT has emerged as a hero model for the brand\u2019s new mid-size SUV in its South Korean home market, and it\u2019s expected to be offered in Australia.<\/p>\n<p>No mechanical changes have been announced, but the Tucson XRT is a tougher-looking rig with its wider rectangular grille, prominent front and rear skid plates, redesigned rear bumper, black wheel-arch extensions and unique alloy wheels.<\/p>\n<p>Inside is an exclusive seat pattern and dark metal decor, while first-row and second-row floor protection mats and touch-type tailgate LED lamps enhance practicality for outdoor activities.<\/p>\n<p>There\u2019s no official word yet on how much the XRT package will cost on the Tucson, but Hyundai Australia currently offers the XRT Adventure Option Pack on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.racv.com.au\/car-match\/search\/hyundai\/santa-fe?vehiclestatus=current\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Santa Fe<\/a> SUV \u2013 including an off-road wheel and tyre package, off-road suspension kit, mudflaps and skid plate \u2013 for an extra $7990.<\/p>\n<p><a id=\"power\"\/>What powers the new\u00a02027 Hyundai Tucson?<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai could be preparing its 2027 Hyundai Tucson range to go all-hybrid in Australia with the release of a more powerful and economical petrol-electric hybrid system now confirmed.<\/p>\n<p>Hyundai Motor Company CEO Jose Munoz told investors recently that the Tucson Hybrid\u2019s revised powertrain \u2013 understood to be based around a 1.6-litre turbo-petrol engine combined with a new dual-motor hybrid transmission \u2013 would produce 180kW of power (+8kW) and 379.5Nm of torque (+12.5Nm), accelerating from 0-100km\/h in 8.5 seconds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe all-new Tucson Hybrid offers the best combination of performance and efficiency,\u201d Munoz says.<\/p>\n<p>Fuel economy is listed at 5.7L\/100km on the official combined test cycle, based on Korean market standards. This is slightly higher than current <a href=\"https:\/\/www.racv.com.au\/royalauto\/transport\/cars\/fuel-efficiency-australia.html\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Australian ADR 81\/02 figures<\/a> (4.9-5.3L\/100km), so we\u2019ll wait and see where the new Tucson Hybrid lands once homologated for our market.<\/p>\n<p>For comparison, the 2026 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.racv.com.au\/car-match\/car-details\/toyota\/rav4\/xse-8297242b6fa8ecf8954fd1d7d2c474160208dda\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer nofollow\">Toyota RAV4 Hybrid<\/a> produces 143kW and returns 4.5-4.6L\/100km (2WD\/AWD).
