NAVER Cloud will build a security-specific artificial intelligence (AI) that responds to Mitos shock, a representative cyber attack and hacking risk.<\/p>\n

On the 3rd, the Ministry of Science and ICT and the National Institute of Information and Communication Industry (NIPA) selected the NAVER Cloud consortium as the operator of the ‘Cybersecurity Specialized AI Foundation Model Development’ project. The project was carried out with the aim of securing an independent AI model that can respond to situations where technology advances rapidly and security threats are advanced.<\/p>\n

NAVER Cloud was evaluated for forming a large-scale industry-academic consortium with excellent technology and experience to present excellent development strategies and goals. In fact, NAVER Cloud has joined hands with companies such as LG CNS, LG Uplus, and East Security, infrastructure institutions such as KEPCO KDN, Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power, and the Financial Security Agency, and research institutes such as KAIST, Seoul National University, Korea University, and POSTECH.<\/p>\n

The NAVER Cloud consortium preemptively injected 4,000 copies of its graphics processing unit (GPU) B200 to conduct pre-learning of security-specific AI models. It is separate from the CPU (256 chapters) supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT. Based on this large-scale infrastructure investment, the development period will be drastically shortened, and the time secured will be focused on improving model performance and on-site demonstration to maximize completeness.<\/p>\n

Specifically, we create a 700B class super massive mixed model (MoE) based on HyperClova X and Exon. It plans to develop multiple models that strengthen defense capabilities (HyperClovaX) and attack capabilities (Exemployees) in parallel to secure responsiveness in overall attack and defense, and strictly weigh objective performance with internationally recognized benchmarks. The training data, which governs the performance of the model, utilizes high-quality real data on the scale of approximately 830 terabytes (TB). In addition, data purification technology that ranges from threat information collection to labeling, standardization, and verification will be applied to precisely learn the actual threat environment.<\/p>\n

NAVER Cloud plans to continuously upgrade its model through demonstration of key national facilities and major industrial sites. Field demonstrations are conducted in seven major fields, including electricity, finance, science and technology, communication, semiconductor, defense industry, and aerospace. The plan is to complete operational technology suitable for the closed network so that it can operate stably even in an environment where access to external networks is restricted.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Science and ICT plans to sign an agreement with NAVER Cloud as early as this month and start developing the model.
