(KCS)<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/qns.com\/neighborhoods\/bayside\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Bayside<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Braunstein and Berger announced the funding on Sept. 3, stating that the upgrade would allow KCS to continue to grow and expand the services it offers while also ensuring a safe environment for the increasing number of community members who rely on its programs and services.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis state grant to update the fire alarm system at the Bayside headquarters will help KCS continue to serve the local community safely and effectively,\u201d Braunstein said in a statement. \u201cKorean Community Services of Metropolitan New York does critical work providing culturally competent programming in the areas of Aging, Education, Immigration, Mental Health and more.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Berger, meanwhile, described KCS as a \u201cvital resource\u201d to the local community, adding that the organization\u2019s facilities \u201cmust grow\u201d to match its expansion.\n<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis funding will help KCS ensure its fire alarm system is adequate for the needs of its expanding services and, most importantly, help keep the people they serve safe,\u201d Berger said.\n<\/p>\n<p>KCS President Myoungmi Kim said she was \u201cincredibly grateful\u201d for the investment, adding that the funding will help create a safer environment for everyone who uses the organization\u2019s Bayside headquarters.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis investment will allow us to make critical improvements to our fire alarm system, helping us maintain a safer environment for our staff, clients, and community members,\u201d Kim said in a statement.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Assembly Members Sam Berger and Ed Braunstein present KCS President Myoungmi Kim with a check for $200,000.
