According to South Korean business circles and industry sources, Huang is scheduled to arrive in South Korea on June 5 following the conclusion of the GTC (GPU Technology Conference) Taipei event in Taiwan, where he plans to meet successively with top executives from major South Korean corporations and artificial intelligence industry figures. Meetings are scheduled with SK Group Chairman Chey Tae-won, LG Group Chairman Koo Kwang-mo, and Naver Board Chairman Lee Hae-jin, among others. Huang is also expected to discuss AI and gaming collaboration opportunities with NCSoft CEO Kim Taek-jin.<\/p>\n
However, rather than treating Huang’s visit as a positive catalyst, the market moved to unwind short-term overheating in stocks that had rallied on anticipation.<\/p>\n
According to the Korea Exchange, LG Electronics closed down 16.43% at 328,000 won (approximately $213.24). Holding company LG fell 7.21%, LG CNS dropped 6.85%, and LG Innotek declined 6.31%, as LG Group shares broadly struggled.<\/p>\n
Other companies named as potential meeting partners for Huang also joined the sell-off. Naver ended the session down 4.63% at 267,500 won (approximately $173.91), while Hyundai Motor fell 3.98% to 700,000 won (approximately $455.08). Doosan dropped 6.15% and Doosan Robotics plunged 5.28%. Notably, NCSoft tumbled 14.35% and SK Telecom sank 13.02%, standing out with particularly steep declines.<\/p>\n
The selling pressure was concentrated from the opening bell. As of 9:20 a.m., LG Electronics was down 15.29% at 332,500 won (approximately $216.16), while LG CNS had fallen 12.01% and LG Innotek was off 7.03%. Naver traded down 7.66% at 259,000 won (approximately $168.38), and Doosan Robotics plunged 10.74%. NCSoft also fell 12.13%, extending its losses throughout the session.<\/p>\n
