Hyundai Motor India<\/a> Ltd (HMIL) on Monday said it is targeting 20% representation of women in its executive workforce<\/a> by 2030, as the automaker seeks to expand its gender-diverse talent pipeline across functions.<\/p>\n

Women currently account for more than 8% of HMIL\u2019s executive workforce of over 4,000 employees. The company said about 45% of the Management Trainees and Engineer Trainees recruited in 2026 are women, indicating a higher participation of women among its newer talent pool.

HMIL said women\u2019s participation has been increasing across manufacturing, engineering, research and development, sales, service, corporate functions and leadership roles.<\/p>\n

The company said its long-term diversity, equity and inclusion strategy focuses on hiring, career progression, leadership development and retention of women employees.HMIL has adopted gender-balanced recruitment<\/a> practices, expanded campus outreach and introduced competency-based talent assessment processes. It is also focusing on increasing women’s representation in leadership roles.<\/p>\n
