Samsung, SK Hynix and the South Korean government are pushing an 800 trillion won semiconductor mega-project while dragging factory timelines forward from the 2040s into the early 2030s. The energy required to support those chip plants and data centers would match the output of roughly 20 modern nuclear reactors. That is not a routine infrastructure upgrade. It is an entirely new industrial power system. <\/p>\n
