LG Electronics

LG Electronics (066570.KS) surged in pre-market trading (8:00 a.m. to 8:50 a.m.), breaking through 240,000 won. The rally is attributed to a wave of buying interest as the company’s robotics value chain drew positive assessments from analysts.

According to Nextrade on the 15th, LG Electronics shares were trading at 238,000 won, up 21,000 won, or 9.68%, from the previous session. The stock climbed as high as 243,500 won during pre-market trading.

LG Electronics shares have nearly doubled in just one month. The closing price on the 17th of last month was 124,200 won, but the stock surpassed 240,000 won in pre-market trading on Wednesday. The shares have continued to set fresh 52-week highs as the rally extends.

In a report released the previous day, Kim Min-kyung, an analyst at Hana Securities, said, “Despite a continuing unfavorable business environment, we believe the company will secure earnings capacity through company-wide cost structure improvements and marketing expense efficiencies, while aggressively pursuing new robotics-related businesses to secure growth momentum.”

She added, “LG Electronics announced plans at its March shareholder meeting to establish a mass production system for humanoid robot actuators within this year and to conduct a Cloi proof of concept (PoC) next year. Given that the PoC plan has been moved up to the first half of this year, we estimate that the company is actively accelerating its robotics business.” She continued, “In addition, new orders for the data center cooling business are increasing sharply, and momentum from the full-fledged launch of AI-related businesses cannot be ruled out, as the company is discussing collaboration with Nvidia on physical AI, AI data centers, and mobility.”

This year’s consolidated revenue is projected to reach 94.33 trillion won, up 6% from a year earlier, while operating profit is forecast to grow 55% to 3.8 trillion won. The operating profit margin (OPM) is expected to come in at 4.0%.

LG Electronics CEO Ryu Jae-cheol unveils “Reinvent 2.0,” a strategy aimed at growing LG Electronics together with its…

[25
12482,12485,12484,4299,315,357,314,1436,5349,12483
0":"post-17340","1":"post","2":"type-post","3":"status-publish","4":"format-standard","5":"has-post-thumbnail","7":"category-lg","8":"tag-12482","9":"tag-cloi-poc","10":"tag-hana-securities","11":"tag-humanoid-robot","12":"tag-lg","13":"tag-lg-electronics","14":"tag-lg-group","15":"tag-nvidia-partnership","16":"tag-pre-market-trading","17":"tag-robotics-value-chain
["GET
