{"id":26998,"date":"2026-05-23T03:16:07","date_gmt":"2026-05-23T03:16:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/26998\/"},"modified":"2026-05-23T03:16:07","modified_gmt":"2026-05-23T03:16:07","slug":"sonic-frontiers-definitive-edition-has-been-rated-in-korea","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.europesays.com\/korea\/26998\/","title":{"rendered":"Sonic Frontiers &#8220;Definitive Edition&#8221; Has Been Rated In Korea"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Original Story: [Wed 25th Mar, 2026 05:30 GMT]:<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/sonic_frontiers\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sonic Frontiers<\/a> took the series in a new direction when it launched in 2022 with its &#8220;open-zone&#8221; design, and it seems Sega might not be entirely done with it just yet&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>As highlighted by Gematsu, <a class=\"external\" href=\"https:\/\/www.grac.or.kr\/Board\/Explanation.aspx?searchtype=004&amp;type=view&amp;bno=306&amp;searchtext=\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">The Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea<\/a> has recently rated Sonic Frontiers Definitive Edition. Platforms and other details have not been shared at this stage.<\/p>\n<p>Definitive Edition releases aren&#8217;t out of the ordinary for Sonic titles in recent years. We&#8217;re also reminded how <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/games\/nintendo-switch\/sonic_origins_plus\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sonic Origins Plus<\/a> was previously leaked via the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nintendolife.com\/news\/2023\/02\/sonic-origins-plus-has-been-rated-in-korea\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">same game rating committee<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>As of November last year, Sega reported Frontiers had sold 4.57 million units worldwide. It also received some post-launch DLC along the way. Unfortunately, it wasn&#8217;t the best experience on the Switch, so a &#8220;Definitive Edition&#8221; would no doubt be a great opportunity for a Switch 2 release.<\/p>\n<p>Of course, nothing has been officially announced or confirmed just yet, so if we hear any updates, we&#8217;ll let you know.<\/p>\n<p>Would you be interested in a Definitive Edition of Sonic Frontiers?
