Samsung Electronics’ (005930.KS) “Bespoke AI Steam” robot vacuum has sold more than 20,000 units in a single month, riding a wave of strong demand. Analysts attribute the success to a combination of three factors: smarter artificial intelligence (AI), robust security, and a customized installation service.<\/p>\n

Samsung Electronics announced Wednesday that monthly sales of the Bespoke AI Steam surpassed 20,000 units for the first time last month. The figure represents a roughly 60% surge from the same period a year earlier. The product has drawn particularly strong support from newlywed couples. Among customers who purchased a newlywed appliance package in May, one out of every three pairs chose the model.<\/p>\n

The 2026 model, launched in March, significantly enhances core cleaning performance. The “Ultra” and “Plus” models feature 10W of suction power, double that of the previous generation. The “Pop-Out Combo” function eliminates blind spots along walls, while 100-degree high-temperature steam effectively removes harmful bacteria and odors from the mop surface. The newly introduced “Automatic Water Supply and Drainage” model also relieves users of the hassle of manually filling and emptying water.<\/p>\n

The product also addresses hacking concerns, which have recently emerged as a key issue in the home appliance industry. Equipped with Samsung’s proprietary security solutions, “Knox Matrix” and “Knox Vault,” the device earned the highest rating (Standard+) in the Internet of Things (IoT) security certification overseen by the Ministry of Science and ICT.<\/p>\n

A premium service that extends from installation to after-sales support is another driver of the product’s popularity. In partnership with Samsung Electronics Logitech, Samsung offers a one-stop reform service that modifies existing furniture cabinets to fit the device. More than 60% of buyers have opted for the service. Through SmartThings-based “Visible Remote Consultation,” customers can have their product status checked in real time.<\/p>\n

“Surpassing 20,000 units in monthly sales reflects the recognition of our product’s competitiveness, which combines powerful cleaning performance, hygiene, security, and convenience,” said Kim Yong-hoon, executive at Samsung Electronics’ Korea division. “Based on broad consumer choice, we will lead the popularization of AI home appliances.”<\/p>\n
