Photo courtesy of Hyundai Motor Group<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Hyundai Motor Group was named &#8220;Automotive Company of the Year&#8221; at the AutoTech Awards 2026 held in Novi, Michigan, on Tuesday local time, the company said Thursday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">The AutoTech Awards, organized by global ICT research firm Informa, recognize innovative technologies and companies in the automotive and mobility sectors, including artificial intelligence (AI), connectivity, software, safety, and the connected car ecosystem.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">Judges highly rated Hyundai Motor Group for being named World Car of the Year for three consecutive years and for operating an innovative dedicated electric vehicle platform. They also cited the development of an 800-volt ultra-fast charging system and a track record of winning various design awards as the basis for the selection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">This marks the first time Hyundai Motor Group has won the Automotive Company of the Year award. Previously, Hyundai Motor America (HMA), the U.S. subsidiary of Hyundai Motor (005380.KS), received the award in 2021 and 2024.<\/p>\n<p class=\"mb-4 text-[var(--color-text)] leading-relaxed\">&#8220;We plan to continue strengthening EV platform performance, safety standards, and design excellence while accelerating our software-defined vehicle (SDV) strategy and expanding connected mobility capabilities in the global market,&#8221; a Hyundai Motor Group official said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Exterior view of Hyundai Motor and Kia&#8217;s Yangjae headquarters.
