Kakao will open an online cheering space on KakaoTalk timed to South Korea national team soccer matches, supporting real-time communication among users.<\/p>\n
Kakao said on June 11 it will run a participatory campaign on KakaoTalk called the ‘KaTalk Cheering Event’, where users communicate and cheer together.<\/p>\n
The campaign is available in the ‘Now’ tab, the third tab in KakaoTalk. The event will run three times in total, starting with a first round, held in cooperation with Nexon\u2019s online soccer game ‘FC Online’ through June 12, followed by a second round on June 18 to 19 and a third round on June 24 to 25.<\/p>\n
On match days, it will provide dedicated cheering rooms in Open Chat communities for the first and second halves and halftime. The rooms comprise three spaces: ‘Legend Room’ and ‘Icon Room’ for soccer-related conversation, and a ‘Solitude Room’ focused on image-based communication.<\/p>\n
It has also prepared various participatory programs. Quiz event participants will be entered into a draw to receive a 2026 national team uniform and Nexon mobile gift vouchers, among other items. It also supports a feature to decorate profiles with special images and enter designated cheering scripts.<\/p>\n
The campaign\u2019s main page will also link additional content, including watching soccer short-form videos, exploring Open Chat and a soccer bot offering mini-games.<\/p>\n
