(HMPH), in partnership with the Ramon Aboitiz Foundation, Inc. (RAFI) through its One to Tree program, and Good Neighbors International Philippines, held a ceremonial signing for the Laguluan Tree Park: Ioniq Forest Project, a \u201ccollaborative initiative aimed at long-term forest restoration, biodiversity conservation, and community empowerment\u201d in Lian, Batangas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">HMPH said this reinforces its commitment to \u201ccreating impactful programs that go beyond being an automotive brand by fostering biodiversity, collaboration, and meaningful community engagement.\u201d<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">Under the program, some 3,000 native timber seedlings will be produced, planted, and nurtured at Laguluan Tree Park. This seeks to contribute to long-term forest restoration while enhancing ecological resilience in the area. The initiative also includes the development of a tree park with facilities for ecotourism and environmental education. This in turn should create opportunities for recreation, learning, and greater appreciation of local biodiversity while supporting long-term conservation efforts. The project is expected to benefit over 4,000 residents of Barangay Prenza, Lian, Batangas.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The project is also expected to empower 35 partner farmers and strengthen the capacity of the Altura Spring Farmers Irrigators Association, Inc., creating livelihood opportunities while promoting sustainable land management practices.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p3\">The project is fully supported by key government stakeholders, including the Provincial Local Government Unit (PLGU) of Batangas through the Provincial Government Environment and Natural Resources Office (PGENRO), and the Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Lian, through the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Standing from left are Hyundai Motor Philippines, Inc.
