LG Electronics North America<\/a> is ringing in the new year with new leadership.

On Dec. 30, the Englewood Cliffs<\/a>-based company announced Don Kwack as president and CEO, effective January 2026. He will now serve as the highest-ranking executive in the western hemisphere. Additionally Kwack will also serve as president and CEO of LG Electronics USA Inc.<\/a>\n<\/p>\n

The move brings an LG employee with more than three decades of experience into the post. The company highlighted Kwack\u2019s strategic leadership capabilities and track record delivering strong results worldwide. Kwack succeeds Chris Jung<\/a>, who retired after leading LG North America over the past year.<\/p>\n

As chief executive for the region, he has responsibility for LG Electronics in the U.S.<\/a> and Canada, including home appliances<\/a>, media entertainment, air solutions and commercial displays. His work will also involve collaboration with other regional operations, such as vehicle components, R&D labs and factories.\n<\/p>\n

Kwack began his career at LG in 1995, after graduating with a business degree from Hanyang University in South Korea<\/a>.\n<\/p>\n

Before this most recent promotion, Kwack served as executive vice president and the global head of LG Living Appliance Solutions. He held that post for the past year, LG said, after leading the global refrigerator business from 2023\u20132024.<\/p>\n

LG noted his broad international management experience.\n<\/p>\n

Kwack formerly served as president of LG Egypt<\/a> and LG Greece, as well as senior vice president for LG\u2019s home appliance business in the U.K. and France.\n<\/p>\n

He has also held posts at LG Electronics headquarters in Seoul, South Korea. LG specifically highlighted his time as senior vice president in charge of global marketing and sales for home appliances and air solutions.\n<\/p>\n

In 2024, LG Electronics USA launched its fourth Business Innovation Center in Englewood Cliffs<\/a>.
