SK Biopharmaceuticals (326030.KS) will participate in the “2026 BIO International Convention (BIO USA),” the world’s largest biotech industry event, to hold global partnering meetings and introduce its artificial intelligence (AI)-based drug discovery strategy.<\/p>\n
SK Biopharmaceuticals said Monday that it will participate in BIO USA, to be held at the San Diego Convention Center in the United States from June 22 to 25, where it will hold meetings with multiple global pharmaceutical companies and investors and explore new cooperation opportunities. BIO USA is a global biotech industry event hosted by the Biotechnology Innovation Organization, and this year more than 20,000 pharmaceutical and biotech industry officials from over 76 countries are expected to attend.<\/p>\n
SK Biopharmaceuticals will operate a solo booth for the second consecutive year, following last year. This year, it will set up a booth in the “Digital Health and AI Zone,” a major exhibition area within the venue, to introduce its AI-based research and development and corporate operations direction. The zone is a space newly established by BIO USA last year to address digital health and AI technology as key industry agendas.<\/p>\n
At the event, the company plans to hold one-on-one partnering meetings with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies and investors to discuss cooperation possibilities in various fields, including research and development, business development, and new modalities, and to explore opportunities for global business expansion. It will also focus on enhancing understanding of its in-house drug development capabilities and next-generation growth drivers.<\/p>\n
At the booth, the company will present “SK, AI for Every Patient” as its slogan. SK Biopharmaceuticals plans to introduce its direction for utilizing AI across the entire drug development cycle, centered on AI-based drug discovery, digital transformation of research and development and business operations, and patient-centered platforms. Through this, the company aims to strengthen its data-driven decision-making system and enhance research and development productivity and business execution.<\/p>\n
SK Biopharmaceuticals is advancing its predictive models and data analysis system based on its own AI platform. It plans to gradually expand the scope of AI utilization to research planning, candidate substance design and analysis, development strategy formulation, and operational optimization. The goal is to build a work environment in which employees collaborate with AI agents and, in the long term, to develop a system in which multiple AI agents support research, development, and workflows.<\/p>\n
